About Send a Raven

Long-form letters. No feeds, no likes.

Send a Raven is a quieter place to write real letters to the people who matter. You sit down, write something longer than a text, and we deliver it. The person on the other end reads it when they have a minute, and writes back when they have something to say.

Why letters

Most of the ways we keep in touch are built for speed: a reaction, a quick reply, a scroll past. That works for making plans. It works less well for the friend who moved away, or the relative you keep meaning to call.

A letter asks for a little more time and gives more back. There’s no feed to keep up with here, nothing to like, no follower count, and nobody watching but the person you wrote to.

How it works

Write. Pick someone, and start from a blank page or from a prompt if you’re not sure how to begin.

We deliver it. Your letter arrives in their email with a link to read it on Send a Raven. They don’t need an account to read it.

They write back. Replies stay together in one thread, so the whole correspondence is there to reread later.

Where things stand

Send a Raven is an early pilot, run by one person and open to a small group of invited people. Things will change, and some things will break.

Your letters are yours. We store them so they can be delivered and so your threads work. We don’t sell them, show ads next to them, or use them to train anything. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Who runs this

I’m Heather MacLeod. Send a Raven is a one-person project: I build it and run it, and when you write in through the contact form, you’re writing to me.

The marbled cover on the sign-in page is a real composition notebook I photographed.

Send a Raven is operated by Existential Millennial LLC, a Massachusetts company.
